About Monsters in the Wild

Monsters In The Wild is the creative outlet of Seattle-based Designer Peter Stern.

By day I work as a research & design consultant for large, fancy brands like NASA, Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Meta, Apple, Starbucks and Jimmy Buffett.

I’ve been a professional designer and illustrator for nearly 30 years, working across the spectrum—from big tech to small businesses and everything in between. Clients like Microsoft and Amazon help pay the bills, while public art feeds the soul. My work spans websites, posters, T-shirts, and large-scale murals.

Lately, I’ve been diving into sculpture, including a recent commission for Cannonball Arts in Seattle: a 7-foot-tall, four-legged monster. You can see it soon at their new space.
